I probably wouldn't have attempted backing down the ramp on my own,
especially launching solo without a floating dock, but I had help from the Carolina Boaters who beached their boats to help out and not only got me afloat but took some pics of Big Duck underway.
We rafted and had a ball socializing and exploring.
We beached separately for a hike to the falls. I wasn't going to go, but Suzy said I should take Merlin.
Merlin continues to amaze us. On this trip he learned to jump off the bow onto the beach to go potty. He would even jump from the beach back up aboard on his own.
He especially enjoyed frolicking in the stream on the way to the falls.
And it was towing up and back on the mountain roads that I learned to appreciate the load equalizing hitch and anti-sway bar.
